The Best Day at LegoLand

ALERT ALERT ALERT
THIS POST HAS SOOOO MANY PHOTOS IT TOOK FOREVER TO UPLOAD!!!!
So on Sunday, we finally decided to use the FREE tickets we had to Legoland that Geoff got thru using his AMEX points he gathers thru work. It was the perfect day, blue skies, no clouds anywhere, mid 70s with a slight breeze... just amazing. So we loaded in the car around 9:30am, Geoff and I grabbed Del Taco breakfast... yes and that was amazing too, who knew. We arrived to LegoLand just after 10, and Grey slept the whole ride which was perfect. We knew he would last a good while for us. So when we got there we wanted to look into making our tickets 'park hopper' tickets because there is a new aquariam there that we first saw thru "John and Kate plus 8" (best show ever.) So we talked to the ticket guy and only had to pay $20 total and we could go to both parks. So great!!!! So in we went. Geoffs buddy had said, go to the left when you get in there cause everyone else goes right. Well, to the left was a fun little car ride. We weren't sure if Grey could go on the rides cause there is heighth requirements........ 34" and our BIG boy totally met it!!!! Crazy huh?? So the day was full of fun rides.
Grey and I waiting in line for the first ride. He wanted me to go on it with him, so funny. He is teething by the way, I think the k 9s are finally coming in
Silly boy... we were in line for about 15 minutes he was so patient

Here we come, he barely could reach the stearing wheel it was too funny... he really wanted the yellow car, thank God that is the one we got

Driving like a big boy

We came around a corner... and there daddy was... Mommy looks a little shocked

Next ride, the train... Daddy got to go on this one

Pull hard and they will come apart

The Helicopter ride... police heliocopter to be exact

Look how high they are.... Scary

Airplane ride... hows his face

The fam... finger in mouth again... all day

He even drove a boat, and I have to say. I was watching all the ding dongs driving those things and Grey did the best!!!

Shark attack

This is the best story... anyone who knows Geoff well enough knows he loves Nascar. Well this was the part of legoland where everything is made out of legos and is super miniature versions of things. Well, this is pic of Grey and Geoff watching the cars go around the track and high fiving!!!

Look daddy

Grey: No
Me: Do you know what salt and pepper is?

I'm Floating

It has been very hot out at our house the last couple days, so tonight we thought it would be fun to take Grey to the pool to try out his new floaties we got him. It was 6:30 and still super nice and we had the pool to ourselves.
Let me in
Getting used to the water

Daddy showing him he let go, that he was floating by himself

The face of a very proud little boy

Yay!!! Geoff and I were so proud of him that he wasn't scared.

Kicking to the side of the pool

Kick, kick, kick

floating
It was so fun to see Grey master another step in his developement. He is really trying lately to talk more and more, he is quite funny and loves to say DADA now. Over and over. He always walks down the stairs by himself now (and up), he holds Mommy and Daddy's hands instead of using the stroller alot of the time, his little personality is really starting to shine. We love our big boy so much....

Beach Dat at the Montage

On Sunday, the Shwams and us went to have beach day at the Montage public beach. We packed up and got there around 9:30am... it was already so stinking hot. We got front row parking which was fabulous and we loaded up the wagon and headed down the hill to enjoy....

Brodsters first beach day
Brody cruising in the bumbo, wearing one of Greys diesel shirts =)
Yummy bottle, about to pass out.

My happy boy... Greyson is so at home at the beach. And this beach was so much fun... Great sand, no waves, so much fun

Daddy and his boy... I love this photo!!!

Mike and his little girl... Maddy running away from the water, haha. Just kiddding she loves the water like Grey does.

Hey big boy, almost four months

The Shwam family

And proof that I was there too... how funny is this photo?? Do you see what I am talking about? Grey and Geoff always have the same expression =)

Cheese.....its! he he

The best way to leave the beach, passed out with a paci and tige.
It was such a great time. We then headed to Gamma and Poppis for another bbq and the laker game. It is making me get really excited for summer, all the fun family weekends.

Babysitting

On Friday I helped Celina out by wathching Maddy and Brody. Unfortunately, Kellys daughter Ashley was sick so Kelly couldn't watch them. ( hopefully Ash is feeling better.) So Grey and I headed out super early to get to C's on time before she had to get to school... It was an eventful morning to say the least, but obviously I wasn't going to say NO. It made me thankful that I don't have twins and a 4 month old... geez that would be tough. Greyson and Maddy are like brother and sister seeing how they have grown up together so closely, so they fight like brother and sister. They, of course, would time these fights right when I was completely engrossed in a task with Brody i.e. changing the poopiest diaper known to man kind. Greyson and Maddy decided it would be a great time to football tackle each other over a toy. For those of you who have never seen Maddy get upset it is pretty phenomenal... love you Mads. She is definately a red head and definately a Shwam. So to say the least... the day was a blast. I was able to capture some pretty classic photos. Maddy and Greyson taking turns in the bumbo.

Greyson holding Brody's hand... I didn't ask him to do this, he just did.

Maddy then followed suit

The cousins!!!! So cute, so close, so much fun. I can't imagine if Geoff and I hadn't gotten pregnant with Grey. It just wouldn't be the same watching Maddy grow up. Celina and I talked about it the other day how special it is for them to be so close! Too bad Brodster won't have the exact experience... but he will have two special, older protectors, always.
