Just a bunch of fun

So this is going to be a whole lot of posts in one...

Here is Greyson thinking he is surfing... Daddy had to be down at the NHHS surf fundraiser contest that took place at 55th street on Saturday and Sunday. Thank goodness Grey and I made it down there on Saturday cause it was the most beautiful day... Mommy got some color which was nice cause I am soooo white... scary Vampire white. Greyson couldn't understand why Daddy wasn't bringing him out into the ocean where all the other surfers were. Hence him pointing out to the waves. He was super cute watching Geoff surf in the Expression Session... everyone and anyone on a surf board was "dada." I kept trying to tell him that Daddy was wearing the orange shirt, but who knows if he really knows what color orange is.

These two pics were from Friday, Grey and I made sugar cookies... now when I say made I only mean I cut the premade dough in 1/2 inch sections and baked them, but hey, the house smelled yummy and Grey loved them as usual.

This is back on Saturday, sorry for the skipping around, but you get it. Greyson slept on the way home from the beach, which all and all took about an hour after getting out of our parking location, Mommy grabbing McDonalds and then driving to Aliso Viejo. So.... surprise suprise that Grey woke up when we got home and decided he didn't need to continue his nap. At least it was still beautiful out cause I posted up on the patio stool, Us Magazine and a late afternoon cocktail and Grey just stared thru the slits on the patio railing. He, at least thought it was super fun cause we don't usually let him play out there... partly cause its been so cold and cause he is infatuated with the bbq!!!! He is getting better at listening though so it was fun to see him so happy. Once he discovered he could partly climb up the stools though then we had a bit of an issue.... he smoothed it over when I asked him for a kiss and he gave me a great one right on the lips. That is such a rare occassion that I just melted. So he sat at the big table with Mommy and waited for Daddy to get home from the contest.

I don't remember what morning this was, but its the boys eating my favorite cinnamon rolls again... talk about making a house smell like a home.... go Pillsbury =)

I had to ask Geoff to grab the camera for this one. This was tonight, Grey totally climbed up on the chaise with me, pointed to our blanket and cuddled up for an episode of Oswald. It was such a fun moment for me. I love this time of night, right before bed cause he finally calms down enough to sit in one spot and just chill. So it was such a plessure that he wanted to "chill" in Mommys lap.

So STINKIN cute.... Greyson and Brody were matching in their bargain Kingsley shirts that Celina and I bought at the company's wharehouse sale. We had to capture the moment... and of course Miss Maddy was there too... Now the funny thing is we only got these two pictures, which was amazing in its own right, but Celina of course LOVED the first one, why??? Da... her kids look amazing and my kid looks passed out!!!! I thought the second one was cute and an accomplishment that all three look pretty descent... Maddy is the model is both =)

And last but not least..... DADDY, sunburn and all. The weekend took a toll on Geoff. He is fried and yes he did have sunscreen on. He has a terribly blood shot eye, which is normal. And he can't hear cause his surfers ear is so bad!!!! He is a wreck... but such a hard worker. Grey and I missed him today cause the weather was so yucky we weren't about to go freeze at the beach. Instead, Grey and I met mom, Auntie Lou ( Alyssa) and Poppi for lunch at Rubys Diner... yummy. Then Grey took a two and half hour nap at my parents and Lou, mom and I watched Twilight AGAIN!!! I am obsessed and totally admit it.
It was a super fun, busy weekend and I kept my promise for doing posts.... points for me. Signing off.... nighty night
xoxo

Happy Anniversary

Wednesday was Geoff and my third anniversary.... so crazy that we have been married for three years already. Time has flown since having Grey and sometimes it is easy to forget about "us." So after really crazy, trying days at work on Wednesday (especially for Geoff and his company, he still has his job thank God) we headed to a yummy dinner. My mom watched Grey and Geoff and I went down to Macaroni Grill. We enjoyed an appetizer, bread, three glasses of wine and dinner and of course amazing conversation. Its the most we have had time to talk in a while.
Happy Anniversary again babe... it has been an amazing journey these past three years and all the years before that... you are my best friend and confidant. I love you with all my heart and amazingly each time I watch you with Grey I find more love in my heart for you. I can't wait for the day when we get to bring another little "us" into this world. Too bad we can't win the lottery and start tomorrow, hahahahaha.

nighty night

I have been such a bad blogger lately and I apologize. I truly have no good excuse except that I am tired, but who isn't. I am actually laying in bed, eating Golden Grahams as I write this using my cell phone... that's how lazy and tired I am at the moment. For those of you who have seen my room, my bed is all of 15 feet away from my computer!!! How can I possibly just lay here and be so ok with the fact that its 8:43pm and I could close my eyes and go to sleep??
I guess I just am ok with it...

Picture updates this weekend I promise!!!

Dance Dance then breakdown

I turned the tv to the kids music station today after Greys nap so he could get some energy out. He was so cute jumping and spinning. After doing it for a while he realized he wanted "mamo"... more milk. When I said no cause he had already had a glass he preceded to make the more sign gesture and give me his face. As you can see I gave in... back to dancing.

Reading the paper

Grey went poops yesterday morning so I said, "lets go change your diapee... grab one of your toys." Instead, he grabbed the newspaper. When I put him up there he held the paper just right. I started laughing and so did he. I asked him if he would stay there so Mommy could get her camera, he said yes... he was too proud. So this is the start of many more 'library sessions.'

Greyson's Outer Space Room Take 2

framed pics in frames I painted
Lampshade I covered

Paintings and banner I made, with his framed fabric to the left

ABC's

Well, progress is being made. Sick, I know. But, I am starting to like it. So I have helped the walls feel more cohesive in color. The pop of color on the walls is now the aqua blue. Its super fresh and fun. The alphabet canvas I bought at Babies r Us... its super cute and it was cheap. Grey and I are having fun singing the alphabet song. The banner above the three handpainted pics I did is also made by me... I used his fabrics from his bedding and then painted "Blast Off" in chocolate paint. To the left of that, I framed out his rocket ship fabric in a painted espresso frame. Over on the opposite side of his two windows I framed pictures of Grey that my mom had extras of from Jennifer Gilmore... it reminded me I need to order a large print for geoff and my bedroom! And lastly, I covered an existing lampshade with fabric and trim... so its all very aqua. I just stained Greysons new nightstand espresso today so when that is done drying I will be on my way to making the majority of his furniture espresso....

Last man standing

This was after last weekend... This was Sunday night and Geoff, Grey and Chopper had played pretty hard. Well, the toddler was the last man standing

His room

So I think I am too hard on myself... I still am not happy with Grey's room, I am sick and ridiculous I know.... but this is what I do, design!!! But when it is for my own house, I just can't handle. So I have figured out part of my issue is that Grey has 4 different pieces of furniture all in a different colors!!!! I mean, seriously, am I trying to drive myself crazy.... so my solution is: I am getting rid of his navy blue nightstand that I bought 5 years ago from Target on sale for Geoff and my Balboa apartment and I bought a super cheap ( cause I had a coupon) sidetable from Michaels, its unfinished wood so I am going to stain it dark espresso like his bed.... one problem solved. But I need to figure out what to do about his changing table. Its white, cause it matched his crib. I would love to put a dresser in his room, in place of his changing table, but what do we do when another little one comes along??? Do I get a low dresser and just put his changing pad on it, sell his changing table to help pay for the dresser??? aaaaaaahhhhhh Its all driving me nuts. I just painted three unfinished wood frames dark espresso so I can hang three 5x7 prints of him that are so cute... but then what! Just had to share my frustration, I will upload new pics when I figure it out

Skateboarding already

At least I got him to wear his helmet, right??? I mean, come on... he is obsessed with Daddy's skateboard. This was right after he rode his bike to the park, played at the park, rode up Grand hill.... Jen you remember that hill... and then he still wanted to skateboard. He has so much energy, I don't know if I can keep up. Check out his outfit though, so stinkin cute. Kingsley ( a clothing line) had there sample sale on Friday so that is a new hooded sweatshirt, and Gamma bought him his new plaid, slip on shoes... He's my little model. Daddy didn't look too bad himself =)

It's Paci Man

Do I need to say much about this???? This is my crazy kid. He woke up this day and was making his funny noises as always. I was laying in bed wishing for just a half hour more. When Grey finally started yelling "MOM!!!" ( No kidding, when do they learn to shorten mommy to mom, so not cute.) I went down stairs and he was still sitting in his big boy bed, like he always does... I am so lucky, but he was pointing to the ground. That is when I found the two pacis... I gave them to him and he became.... Paci Man!!! I was laughing hysterically and asked him if he would stay there so Mommy could get her camera, he nodded yes... such a nice little guy. So I got to capture his moment of pride that he is so funny.
