The kids room so far

It's crazy to me, but I only have, at max, 9 weeks to go with this pregnancy. How did that happen? I kind of realized a few weeks ago it was coming quick and I should probably start working on Emme's side of the room. So this is what is done so far.
Drapes are hung, chair is covered, tissue pom poms made

Greyson's bed and his 'g' painting

Emme's crib and her 'e' painting, both paintings have a bird in the bottom right corner
Emme's bedding should be arriving on Tuesday and I am very excited to see it.

Heather's Lingerie shower

My best friend is getting MARRIED!!!!! Very soon actually...6 days to be exact. And yesterday was her Lingerie shower that my friends Bonnie and Amanda and I threw for her. To through a shower that you are proud of takes alot of work and even though it did...I wouldn't have done anything different. I worked hard on all the decorations, while the other ladies pulled everything else together. And Amanda, so wonderfully, let us have it at her adorable house. The weather cooperated beautifully, it couldn't have been any better. Spritzers were served, HoSum salads were had, yummy cupcakes were eaten and really cute, sexy lingerie was given. Such a fun day for my friend Heather!!!

A weekend at Riviera

It has been a beautiful weekend and we have spent most of it at Riviera. We plan on doing this all summer. Whether its just us, like it was on Saturday or if its with family, like it was today with the Shwams... its always a blast. Greyson is such a beach boy and he has the tan lines to prove it. The only thing I need to remember next time is a chair for myself. Sitting on a towel for 5 hours on Saturday totally kicked this 7 1/2 month prego's butt.

Fourth of July

It was a fun day yesterday celebrating the fourth of July. We headed to Ladera Ranch around noon, when the sun finally decided to make an appearance. We made sandwiches at the Shwam's and let the kids play for a bit before we headed to the pool. It was the Shwams, us and the Rodgers (minus daddy for the first part of the day.) We played at the pool with the other hundred people who were there....we were saying it was Spring Break 2010...parents having way more fun then their kids. One group had their margarita machine all set-up, it was hilarious. We let the kids swim for about 2 hours and then set out on an adventure that we hoped would end in naps. The Shwams went home and the kiddos took good naps. The Rodgers kids and Greyson were loaded up in their strollers and we taken on a LONG walk until their eyes closed and they went to dream land. Unfortunately, Gavin didn't want to visit that land... he wanted to stay in the present =) Greyson, thankfully, did venture to dreamland. So we got a little bit of a break before the rest of the night.

Around 6 we all headed to the Bricks house for play time and a yummy bbq. Kelly and Jason were great hosts as usual. Kelly put together the best little gift buckets for the kids full of festive items. The light twirlers were the hit. Thank you Brick's for the fun night.

Greyson loving the scooter, didn't care it was a pink one and helmet...he wouldn't stop riding hence the reason for him not being in the below picture

Around 8:45 we headed over to the park where the fireworks were being displayed...us and about 20,000 people were ready for the show. Greyson loved the fireworks this year! Him and daddy had fun calling out all the colors in the sky. We can't wait til next year when Emme gets to experience them too... this year she was rocking out from the inside!

More birthday stuff

Geoff had a birthday the day before Father's Day... he turned 35!!!! Our nephew Jack turned 5 on June 21st... our niece Lauren (8) and Greyson have the same birthday... it was a crazy week of celebrations last week. Daddy unfortunately had to work most of his bday, father's day weekend so we still need to make it up to him somehow.
