Running into the O'Neills

After Grey woke up from his nap yesterday we headed to the Spectrum, again it was super gloomy outside, so that meant no pool, no beach and the park didn't sound fun either. We had to get out of the house though, so off to the Spectrum, the trusty Spectrum. We had just arrived, got out of the parking structure, started walking by the carousel on our way to Old Navy when I heard "Greyson!" I turned to look, only cause I thought, "oh someone elses kids name is Greyson." (I am always curious to see who is behind the name.) Well, it wasn't another kid, it was Auntie Traci yelling to us. It was too funny that they were at the Spectrum for the exact reason we were... sanity. So what seemed like a time to just walk around, turned into a fun, play date for Grey.

Catch

Greyson has really developed a pretty spunky personality and with that is coming more and more language. His new, found obsession is catch. He loves throwing the ball to Dada and then having it thrown back to him. And he can totally catch the ball now! And when he does, he gets so proud of himself. I wish to freeze time so I could enjoy this stage forever... but if I froze it I wouldn't be able to experience all that is to come for him and all that is to come when we grow our family. Lately, wherever we are he will all of a sudden look at us all concerned and say "ball." We then ask "where is the ball?" and he says "at home." Its really random, but so funny, like he is reassuring himself his balls are still at home. Below is one of the recent session of play time with Daddy and the ginormous work out ball!!!

This was a moment of stress and concentration... potty time =) then he went right back to playing... fighting me on changing his diaper!

I see you

This was yesterday morning we went down to the San Clemente pier for a bit, it was freezing

For Jane and Terry (and others)

This is partly for Jane and Terry (Geoff's parents), who live in Hawaii. They get out to California often, but still miss some fun happenings. Today, after the clouds finally burned off, Geoff, Grey and I made our way to Riviera Beach. It is a super, fun, mellow beach in San Clemente... most locals know about it and few others. It makes for a really fun time. We headed down around 1:30 after Grey took a really early, I mean 10:30 am, nap!!!! Weirdo =) So we set up camp and Grey and I watched Daddy surf. After Daddy was done we got a little surprise... walking towards us was Auntie Traci, Uncle Billy and Lauren and Jack... right after they arrived, within seconds Auntie C, Uncle Mike, Maddy and Brody arrived. Greyson was in heaven. So the cousins immediately got to it.... lots of fun play time.

It has been a super fun weekend so far. Yesterday was garage sale in the a.m. and then pool day. Today was yummy breakfast at IHOP then nap then beach day... tomorrow's plans.... pool day with the Shwams and Gamma and Poppi then bbq at our house. It should be lots of fun.
Jane and Terry I hope you enjoyed the pics of the cousins. They had so much fun. As always, Grey loves Lauren and Jack was a hit showing Grey how to be a train walking in a circle like he was on a track, hahaha pretty cute.

Gavins 2nd Birthday party

Sunday was Greyson's best friends 2nd birthday party. Gavin turns two tomorrow, but we celebrated a bit early. Partly cause the weekend is obviously easier as parents and also cause Gavin's mommy is about to have a baby girl... hopefully any second =) So we went to Gavin's grandparents house and had a blast. The kids played in a bounce house and a blow up pool, while us parents ate, drank and talk.

We had such a good time, the weather ended up being so perfect. It was so nice to see the Rodgers before baby Sofia arrives. Sadly, life gets so busy and when my good friend Jen isn't watching Grey anymore it makes it hard to get together.

Every Day more and more

Each day Greyson is finding more words. It is so fun to see the sparkle in his eye when he says a new one. I have been so proud lately with his accomplishments. He has discovered how to say happy, sorry, and walk all in the last three days. With "walk" he now can argue that he doesn't want to go in his stroller instead he wants to "walk." "Happy" is a fun one... he would constantly say this one word over and over again... we never knew what it was... and for all we know it isn't even "happy," but when Grey was saying it yesterday it was a bit more clear and definately sounded like "happy." So I said to him, " are you saying Happy?" and he said "Yea!" So, we will take it as that. Sorry came this afternoon.... he hit mommy in the nose and I said to him, " what do you say when you hurt someone?" "you say sorry." and he replied with something along the lines as "obby." Again, we will take it. It's really exciting that he is expanding his vocabulary... all in Greyson time.

Mother's Day last year

This is Mother's Day last year in Laguna Beach... Greyson has grown so much!!! I am so excited for sunday... the meaning of Mother's Day is so much more special when the day is partly yours. I love being a mom, I can't wait til the day comes that I am a mom to two. We have so much fun with each little adventure. Yes, there are times where I want to escape, but who doesn't have those moments. I love my little boy, who is such a big boy now. Everyday he is talking more and more. Our conversations are getting better and more hilarious. I love my husband... he made me a mother, he has made me the woman I am. He helps make this house our home... Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the mothers I know... and Happy special day to myself xoxo

Angels Game

We are so lucky to have good friends... The other day Geoff's buddy Jamey Beeson called him and asked if we wanted to go to the Angels game on Friday night. We were super excited and knew Grey would just love it. So we left our house at about 5:30 (the game started at 7) and we got out of the car at 7!!!! There was a ridiculous amount of traffic... the carpool lane was even stopped. So for about an hour and half we listened to Greyson say Choo choo.... why, we have no idea. It was quite annoying though. But we made it and Grey was excited. We picked up our tickets from will call and made our way into the stadium. Grey had a great seat on daddys shoulders. Our actual seats were amazing!!! 2nd row up behind the Royals dugout. Grey was a bit overwhelmed, just taking it all in. He was surprising us on how calm, and shy he was of the whole situation. Then the lady sang the nation anthem and they set off fireworks and grey was done. He hated them, he ended up laying his head on Geoffs shoulder and cuddled for almost an entire hour!!!! I didn't know where my "son" went. He finally around 8:15 started to enjoy himself. It turned out being so much fun. We left just after 9pm

We had just sat down and he was taking in the lights and all the people
Staring at the two cows they had out on the feild... don't ask
