Late night Disneyland trip

Yesterday was my moms birthday... Happy Birthday Mom!!! Me, Celina and Mom all finally treated ourselves to a spa day. We have all had gift certificates to Burke Williams for at least a year, but haven't made time to use them. Well, we finally did and it was amazing. It was my first time getting a massage, I've always been kind of weirded out by the whole thing, but I really enjoyed it. Thanks mom and C for the fun day of lunch, drinks, massages and chats.

So when I got home Greyson was taking a nap so Geoff and I were figuring out our plan for the rest of the day. We decided we should do a night trip to Disneyland. We always go right in the morning so we thought it would be fun to have Grey see Disneyland at night. I was super excited once we got there cause I had no idea they decorated so cute for Halloween!!!! It was so fun.

The orange glow on the mountain at Thunder Mountain was really cool

Daddy and Grey went on one of Grey's favorite rides... Dumbo!!! The line is always pretty long, but he waits so patiently for his minute and a half.

Daddy having a BLAST!!!! Its so hard to time the picture right when they are wizzing by

As always... his perfect wave from the Carousel
K.... below is the most CLASSIC picture ever!!!! Geoff and I said we were going to try to get more photos of us as a fam while we were at Dland, so while we were waiting for the fireworks I held the camera out and said " say Cheese!" then snapped the photo..... this is what we got =)

yep... he is all boy!!! Got to save this one for a good story some day

Getting ready for fireworks... word to the wise... we thought it was best to steer clear of main street and the square during the fireworks. We were rookies so we didn't exactly know where the fireworks were set off from... thought maybe over Tom Sawyers Island ( or whatever it is called now.) So, we decided to post up by the Dumbo ride cause there were places to sit, figuring we would be able to see the fireworks in the sky where ever they were set off from!!!! Ok, hello.... didn't realize they get shot off right above the castle and right behind the DUMBO RIDE!!! Who are the DUMBOS now!!!! Our poor child was petrified....

Those pictures are with using no zoom... they were right above us... even I was dying with how loud the BOOM was...Here was our solution for Grey....

He demanded back in the stroller, pulled his stroller hood over him, held his tige and I put his sweatshirt over his head and ears and had to press on his ears... this got him through the show...

it was a super fun night even dealing with the crowd to leave and the stupid chick who was trying to cut through the man infront of us and our stroller, who preceded to swing her purse right into Greyson's head.... he got clotheslined bad!!! Poor little guy was scared and crying and pointing to where she went saying "ouwee."
We got to the car around 10:35pm and headed home... we all went to bed as soon as we got home...Super fun night kicked our butts.

Our Friends wedding

Geoff was a groomsmen in his friend Jamey's wedding this weekend. We had been looking forward to it for awhile. Any excuse to get dressed up. Well, Geoff looked great... me, not too shabby either. We danced, ate, drank a little and just really enjoyed ourselves... Geoff more then anyone I think. He was a dancing machine. Here are just a few photos.

Yes, that is Geoff on the left, the groom in the middle and our friend Brent on the right... crazy, sweaty boys!!!

It's been a long time

Well... I have been taking a hiatus from the blog... not really by clear choice, more cause I have been exhausted, distracted and not had any pictures to post. I had kind of fallen into such a ground hog day routine that sitting in front of my computer seem like too much of a chore. Well, I am back and here we go.
Without sharing too much detail, cause there is no reason to dwell... Geoff and I want so badly to give Greyson a brother or a sister... it's not so easy. We really thought that this was our month... everything was lining up accordingly, but long story short, it just wasn't our time. So...we will continue to try our hardest =) and I will keep you posted. Everyone cross your fingers and toes, k??!!!!!
Next, I have really tried to make Greysons room his little haven... a place for him to enjoy, feel safe, learn, play etc. So the other weekend him and Maddy got to enjoy some of what his room has to offer. Brody was obviously there too... and he was getting into all the good toys.

Eating a yummy dinner at Greys new table and chairs... thank goodness for the sheet on the floor.

These are just a few pics of my sweet boy and me. We were getting ready for some night time stories, but he kept giving me kisses. I love those sweet, open mouth, slobbery two year old kisses... nothing is better....

Except, maybe this cheese face!!!!

This was what we discovered on Sunday when Greyson was refusing to take a nap and we decided just to let him stay in his room for awhile....

I started to clean the BLACK crayon off the wall, but realized I needed to capture this fabulous moment for the blog... always a blogger. The thing that was so annoying about this was Grey and Maddy had done this at Auntie C's house the day before and got in soooo much trouble. Why the heck would he test it out on me??? I gave it to him... tears, pouty face oh yeah he had it all. Thank goodness for the magic eraser cause his wall is nice and pretty now.
Ok... lastly, is Halloween is creeping up which I love, Greyson helped me decorate the house on Sunday with Halloween decorations. The thing is we have been talking about what he is going to be for Hw cause you have to buy costumes early or all the good ones will be gone... Well, I think Greys costume would have still been there... actually, I think it was left over from last year cause it was on sale for $9.99!!!! Usually, $24.99
Yes...... my child is being a BANANA!!! He totally picked it himself about three weeks ago when he saw a banana costume for a dog at Target. He now can clearly saw "anana." and is so proud of his costume. He has asked to where it everyday since Sunday, multiple times a day.

I had to cut legs holes in it cause it is for a 3-9month old baby to just lay in. it looks like a leotard from the back, hahahha

oh, he is so proud

Fun Friday

Grey and I had our fun Friday together... and after he woke up from his nap I decided to capture one of our purchases from the day. I dragged poor Grey to target, Ikea and H &M yesterday... he at least got to have lunch with Gamma at the country club. Below you will see the stool that we picked up at Ikea... he got a lime green one too. They are full Flintstones style- i love them. Kind of prehistoric, kind of modern, super light, wipe able surface and indestructible... and best of ALL only $8!!!!!

He has been wanting to "eat" at the "new" table in his room for a while so I let him have his snack there... doesn't he look happy.

Hi Chop chop... Chopper never gets any posts done about him... we still love you Chop... stop peeing on my floor though!!!!

Around 4 our niece, nephew and Grammy came over for a swim in the pool. Geoff is always a good sport gettin in the water, I stayed on the lounge chair with Grammy. The kids swam for an hour then we headed down to Chili's for dinner... yummy

I've got nothing!!!

I sat down just now to do a blog post and realized I don't have anything to post!!! How sad is that? I haven't taken a picture since Monday and therefore have nothing new to show you. I will definately have some pics after this Sunday cause Geoff and my good friends, Jamey Beeson and Cindy Green, are inching closer to their wedding day. This Sunday is their rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which Geoff and I will be attending. Geoff is in the wedding (which is next sat.) and I just can't wait. Not only because I love weddings, but its good friends and its a reason to get dressed up!!!! How I do look forward to getting dressed up, it definately doesn't happen that often anymore. Geoff, being in the wedding, will be in a suit... can I tell you how hard it is to get that man in a suit... I am so excited. I am also determined to get some photos of us two together... cause there are few and far between. I should thank my mom and Celina now for watching Grey for the upcoming events... I really do appreciate it.

Labor Day Weekend

What a fun weekend this has been... actually this post covers Wednesday (my birthday) to Monday. Wednesday I turned 28 and am totally OK with that. I have never minded getting "older" its just a number... so I did the usual went to work, came home from work. I did get to have a nice dinner with Geoff thanks to my mom continuing her usual "hours of operation" so that it covered dinner time, as well. Then Thursday was another usual day... drop Grey off at Danielle's and then pick him up... I did decide though that Grey and I would take a trip to the Spectrum to get me a purse for my birthday, one I have wanted forever. So we did that and then we just cruised around. I let Grey play in the water fountain area which was the highlight to his day... clothes and all!!!

Then Friday morning Alyssa and Casey flew into town so Grey and I picked them up. We went to lunch at fashion island and then headed back to our house for Grey to take a nap. Unfortunately, I had to wake him up from his nap cause we had a photo session set up with our amazing photographer friend, Jennifer Gilmore at the San Juan Mission. Below are a few shots of us all getting through the heat

Hi Casey... This is Alyssa's Boyfriend

one of my new favorite shots

If only he wasn't lifting his shirt up
then on Saturday, my mom had planned a Girls Day event... Mani's/ Pedis... Yay!!! I hadn't treated myself to one in forever... it was overdue... Alyssa, Celina, my cousin Kaylee from No. Carolina flew in, Mom and me all headed to the nail salon-champagne in hand!!!

That's Alyssa's head peeking on the right and that is Kaylee (the blond) on the left

Caught C with her eyes closed
Later on Saturday mom and dad put on a Family/friends bbq at their house. Newport Rib company provided the majority of the yumminess, but Mom's pasta salad is always amazing, along with my guacamole... Lots of friends showed up and I want to thank you all for it!!!

Sunday, we decided was pool day before Casey and Alyssa have to head back to cold San Fran. So we posted up by our pool and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thanks to Mom (as usual) Geoff and I also got to enjoy ourselves. Greyson was just really having a hard time at the pool, he wanted nothing to do with it, so mom took him back to the house, read him a book and put him down for a nap... she then took a nap too =) Gotta love Gamma!!!

Alyssa and Kaylee

Hi Lou!!

They were so irritated with me haha
