Tree lighting ceremony

On Saturday night we went to the Fashion Island Tree lighting ceremony. It was a lot of fun, and it was cold so we got to get all bundled up which made the night even better. It just wouldn't have been the same if we were sweating and listening to xmas carols. It was a thirty minute production of singing and dancing... a little too long. Thank goodness for the bubbles and snow, Grey loved them both. And then the tree finally got lit and it was sooo pretty. Yay!!! Xmas time, I love this time of year.

Its almost Thanksgiving

I am thankful for so much.... in this horrible economic time I am thankful for family, friends, my husband, my son, my health and the constant love I am surrounded by daily. Geoff, Greyson and I are so lucky to have the family and friends that we do. They allow us the ability to go to work and feel safe that our baby boy is in good hands. They help us when times get rough and we need a hand. They make for great times of laughter and gathering that we enjoy so much. Thank you all of you... you know who you are. Without you we just wouldn't be the same. xoxo

hanging out with Great Nana

On Saturday we went to my cousin Rachel's daughter first bday. It was the first chilly day we have had in a long while, but Greyson had fun sittin around with his Great Nana.

Tickle time

just a great capture of a sweet smile!!!

New Video Camera

Well, when I was in Hawaii, Kamalei's brother was showing me this new video camera he has. I guess the Ultimate Fighter BJ Penn uses the same one to update his site daily. So my boss and I were checking it out and fell in love with it. We decided to buy Kamalei one for getting 2nd in the Sunset contest and I bought one as well for work.

It is called the Flip Video Camera and is the best thing in the whole world. It runs on 2 AA batteries and has built in 2Gb memory. The usb plug for it is on the side and is only shown when the switch is hit. It can take up to 60 min of video content and you can even make your own videos by cutting and pasting different videos. It is smaller than a coke can and only an inch thick. you can even zoom in and out.

I know this sounds like a info-mercial, but it is the best thing for blogging. I brought mine home from Hawaii and messed around with it around the house with Greyson. I even bought a water housing for it when I go on surf trips. It is only $136 at Walmart and is worth every cent.

The website to check it out is: www.flipvideo.com

Check out the video I shot of Grey around the house.

Dylan's first bday

Thats Ashley, Kelly and Jason's daughter

Such a good little driver and how cute is the passenger?

Yesterday was our friends sons first birthday... Dylan is a buddy of Greys, they get babysat by Kelly on the same days. Well, it's mid November and hot as hell so we played a lot outside, but then escaped back to the AC inside. Dylan got the funniest car for his bday so Grey got to take a spin in his first Escalade... lucky boy... Mommy hasn't even done that.

Now, I never get pics with Grey cause alot of the time its just me and him, so with Geoff with us we tried twice to get a cute pic.... final results: 0 points

Baby boy looks sleepy in both of them... I was going to say drunk, but didn't think that sounded right haha

Daddy's home

Ooopps... dropped him =)
The rough-housing is back home again with the arrival of daddy. Greyson and Chopper just can't get enough. When Geoff got home at 11pm on Friday, Chopper thought it was time to play, he was so excited Daddy was back. You see, I am not the one who does the crazy dog playing... I have to say when Geoff is gone, I particularly miss how much he takes care of the dog. You can probably tell Geoff was in Hawaii with how tan he is... I look so white next to him, BUT this will hopefully change cause Grey and I get to go back to Hawaii with him on Dec. 1-7 YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
So many of you know that I need a vacay soooo bad, and thanks to my in-laws I will get that vacay sooner rather then later. I just can't wait. And it will be so much fun with Grey this year since he is such a big boy now. Last year was a little rough, no sleeping through the night, no crawling, no solid foods... this year will just be magically. Can't wait to give you all a Hawaiian post...

Bath Time

Oh how I love bath time... nothing is better then a really clean baby. Greyson could usually be hosed down after every meal, but seeing as that is not possible... one squeeky clean bath session does its job. Just recently I have started giving Greyson bubble baths. He now can say bubbles so it is always required, no longer a special treat. I thought I would share with you the happiness that bubbles bring my little man. Don't you wish we could all have this much wonder with bubbles...

Greyson's new funny face

I don't know where it came from, but Grey has just started doing the funniest face. It will come about out of no where, but it always brings a smile to my face.

I hope it brings one to yours too. Just a little look into our good times...

New Shoes

My baby boy is officially wearing a size 5 now!!! He got a new pair of Converse for the winter... crocs have been retired for now, thank goodness. They helped us make it through the summer with Greyson's fat, sweaty feet, but I still can't stand the look of them. Sorry Crocs, no offense. But I have to say Mr. Head ( aka Greyson) looks pretty stinkin cute in his big boy shoes.

It rained

Grey got to sport his super cute camo rain jacket the other morning. It was either on a Tuesday or Thursday cause he was at Kelly's. Sadly, that is really the only way I remember things these days. Whose house was Grey at when 'blank' happened?

Pony Ride

On Nov. 1st Grey went on his first pony ride. We met Celina, Mike and Maddy at the Fall Harvest Festival in ladera Ranch. It was the hottest day ever, but Grey didn't care cause he got to ride a 'real' horsey. Chopper just isn't quite the same kind of ride. Daddy kept Grey from getting upset, you just never know the response to the unknown. We played for about an hour then had to head home cause it was just too hot.

What not to do when surfing Pipeline

We got up early today and surfed Pipeline. The waves came up a little bit today, so we were out there at 6:30, which is still dark here. The waves weren't that big, but really fun and barely anybody out. I tried to take off late on one and pull in......but that wasn't a good idea. I had to straighten out and then got slammed. I went straight to the bottom  and slammed my knee and then continued to get pinned on the bottom. Best thing to do is not freak out in that kind of situation. I actually came up laughing cause I made such a stupid mistake. I only got 2 scrapes on my knee, thank god, but right now it's a little swollen.

Next time now I know.....ha ha.

some photos of my team rider getting 2nd place in the Sunset Contest

My team rider Kamalei Alexander got 2nd place yesterday in the Xcel contest at Sunset beach. The contest was held in perfect 6-8 foot waves with barely any wind. Kamalei is from Kauai and is also the brother of Kala, of the Wolfpak. It was a lot of fun watching him surf and hang with his brother and all his friends. He actaully alomost won the contest in the last  minute, but the judges gave him a lower score than needed.
After the contest, Mo my boss and I went to Foodland and bought at least 10 cases of beer, chicken and steak for a BBQ at the Quiksilver house for Kamalei and other finalist Danny Fuller.
All in all it was an amazing day here in Hawaii.

Cousin Maddy

Here is a great photo of Maddy taken on Halloween... as you already know this wasn't her costume, but she could have rocked it. There is really nothing I can explain about this picture other then she is such a goofy girl. Look at how much she has in her hands. We love you Maddy!!K, maybe I should explain cause it is too funny. She has her easter basket which is the grey bunny, her pumpkin basket, her baby doll, a bracelet up on her bicep, a tank top, no pants just her diap, and my frog headband. When we walked into her house she had on a backwards trucker hat... a mini brittney spears for Halloween. Such a great moment.

It's November

Can you believe it is November already??? It did kind of feel like it today since we finally had a sign of "fall" weather....RAIN! I hate rain, but I have to say when I woke up at 2am and heard the rain I got really excited. Then I realized it was 2AM and thought what the heck am I doing up, so I went back to bed. Just another crazy moment in my life.... happy November. Thank goodness the election is over.... can we all get back to normal, happy people... all grumps stay far, far away =)

Aloha From Hawaii

Well, I am currently on my usual stint to Hawaii for work, and yes I am doing work here, even though Bri doesn't think so........Ha ha. Flew in yesterday to meet up with my boss and to get our team house all opened up for them. The weather is beautiful but the waves are small.
We then came to the Turtle Bay resort to check in, and this is where the business part comes in. We have 2 designers, Myself and My boss, our Sales Manager and Our GM all flying today for Riders Roundtable.
This is basically where the designers show off new trunks and ideas and get the riders feedback. So yes....we are working.  I have 2 riders flying in today that I have to pick up and our staff video guy flies in tonight. We are also going to Costco to get food and supplies for the team house today. Busy day ahead.
The photo is from last night after we surfed off to the side of the hotel. As always, Hawaii never disappoints with the Sunsets.

only my first day away from Bri and Grey and I miss them so much. We had so much fun at Halloween, now each time I travel it gets harder and harder.
