Ok...wow! It has been way too long since I have updated this thing, but i am crazy busy doing all the other computer stuff I do...all day long. My Emerson Grey Designs site is what I focus on most, as I am sure most of you know. I also spend most of my time on Pinterest. It is my newest love. I have gotten clients from it left and right and I am soooo thankful for this free form of advertising. I can't even describe what an amazing creation it is. Way better then Facebook.

So I apologize for neglecting to keep up on the family side of my blogging. Here is the worlds quickest recap of the holidays and most of January.

Greyson had his xmas program last friday and he did amazing! I was so proud of him. He knew the songs, the hand motions, he smiled...it was a blast and quite a little look into all the holiday programs to come.
These are his three bff's from school...Rex, Caden and Noah. Such cute boys.

As we have for the last few years, we attended the xmas parade on Crown Valley Parkway. It is always so hot...even though it's December. The kids enjoyed it, thats all that matters. Love them waving to Santa. Can't wait for Santa to really arrive!

Less then 2 weeks

I'm so excited that Christmas is in less then two weeks! And I'm even more excited that Geoff comes home tomorrow!!!! I survived his yearly trip to Hawaii during the holidays. Thank goodness. But I am crazy ready for the holiday celebrating to start. I want to go drive around and look at Christmas lights together, get hot cocoa and walk around the mall, have the kids sit on Santa's lap...there is so much we haven't done yet. Bring it on. Emerson is loving all the Christmas decor in the stores...she 'talks' so loud when she sees a Santa, snowman or reindeer. She is hilarious. Greyson doesn't seemed to be fazed by the "Santa is watching you." I think I've been told more times by him that I am on the naughty list...geez, give this mama a break!

I will be so sad when the holiday movies stop on the Family channel. I'm watching the Grinch right now....love it. So with all this time that daddy has been away, I've captured a few memories. And there are a few I haven't posted cause I was using them as Christmas cards photos and didn't want to share them yet. And then there is just some randoms too... Enjoy!

Alot like Christmas....yay! Oh I love the holidays. The only real damper is the hubby is out of town most of the month. :( Starting tomorrow it's just me and the kiddos for 17 days! I'm sure we'll keep busy. Today Grey did two crafts and insisted we do more, you think he's my son?
I actually had to tell him no...I've got too many days to fill, to do them all in one day.
Here's a peak at the holidays at the Moysa house. Grey was quite the helper this year when it came to the tree. He probably hung at least half the ornaments. He then helped take them all down to switch the metal hooks that hold the ornaments on the tree, to ribbon. This came after seeing a facebook share about a little girl choking on one of the hooks...no thank you!

There is still more to do, but thought I'd share a little.

This little guy is almost 4 1/2 and I can't believe it. A friend said to me at our playdate today, "is he going to be in kindergarten next year?" I had a holy $#&t moment. How is that possible? And then I turned and watched him make friends at the park, share his cars he brought, pump on the swings all by himself and then say bye to his "new friends." He made me laugh today. I couldn't believe how grown up he has gotten. He sat at the lunch table today and asked me to spell word after word for him as he free handed all the letters with no help from me! So proud...

Beauty is getting big

Little Miss Emerson is getting so grown up by the day. her personality is really getting funny. She loves daddy! When Geoff gets home she runs to him immediately and is now saying hi. It's a cute, airy "hi." It's so sweet.

She is still our little dancer, which I adore. A few other things I love...
She'll point to her socks cause she wants you to tell her they are pretty.
She grabs my phone and holds it up to her throat instead of her ear.
She chugs her milk...and I mean chugs, like cup in the air, not taking any breaths til it is gone!
She loves to hug! and gives the wettest kisses.

Life is moving fast

So I think it has been forever and a day since I've properly updated this blog. I have been working so hard on getting my business on the right foot that I am on facebook and my website all the time. It is so much fun, but so stressful too. It is all on me. The success or failure of my business is a direct result of how hard I work at it. Any of you with two children know how hard it is to be a good mom, wife, friend etc. let alone get the laundry, dishes, beds made etc. throw in starting a business. Wow, when I put it that way...how the heck am I doing this?! No wonder I haven't updated this blog properly.

Well...dinner is done for the kiddos. Daddy is making a yummy dinner for us two, so I'm taking some time to fill you in on our lives happenings. It's pretty busy here at the Moysa household. Emerson is a kick in the pants! She is getting so big and beautiful. I may be partial, but I think she is drop dead gorgeous and I don't mind saying it. Something about this little girls face is angelic. And her little personality is getting pretty funny too. She LOVES to dance. You turn on music and this little girl is bopping around.

Now, Greyson is loving school. He has a school best friend named Noah. He still has his bff Gavin =) He is learning so much. Just today he asked us how to spell Mommy, Daddy, Emme, Chopper, Maddy, Brody, Grammy, Gamma, Poppi, Poppa and Mike ( yes, Uncle Mike you were thrown in there) and he wrote every single one of them without our help. I was soooo impressed. He is loving soccer. We have been so sad that it has been canceled two weekends in a row.

Greyson had a school carnival today after class was over. It was a lot of fun! Lots of games, lots of friends, a bounce house and a game that resulted in greyson getting a fish! He is so excited. We have a certificate to go to the pet store tomorrow to pick it out. Such a grown up boy.

This is my newest project and I can't wait, but unfortunately I have to wait...boo! Redesign needs some extra spending money, so I'll have to wait a bit. But the best part about this redesign is it is only going to take about $150...not too bad. Thankfully I know how to sew, so its mostly fabric purchases, my $29 desk I found, recovering and painting Poppa's antique/vintage/old chair and buying that adorable stapler from etsy for $8...vintage and turqouise! I'm super excited, especially, for my new design/work space. I can't wait to continue my creativity in a space designated to me!
So I'll wait to push that 'checkout' button on fabric.com, but will be dreaming about my new space until it comes to life....to be continued

So the little lady has officially turned one...tear! I can't believe my sweet baby girl has been part of our family for a year already. I've loved every minute of it. I'm thankful that I've been able to be home with her and Greyson even though it's been tough...emotionally, financially, physically. It doesn't matter cause I can say I was there for every single one of her firsts.

To you Emerson:

You make my heart swell. There are moments when you look at me and i'm in shock cause I didn't think I could love you any more...and then it happens, my heart grows! The way you hold onto me, the way you giggle, oh and the way you still smell like baby. Stop growing sweet thing! I forever want you to know how much mommy loves you! Xo

Yep, that's right... I'm turning 30 in just about 18 days. I am not one to really care about birthdays, but this is a big one!!! I have chatted with a great friend of mine who is going to help me celebrate. Can't wait...

Laying on a beach in waikiki...loving every second. And yet, when you're a mommy there is a sense of guilt involved. Emerson Elle is 7 months

...and so close to crawling. Just yesterday she discovered how to get her knees underneath her. I forgot how amazing it is to watch a baby go through these huge milestones. So she has started to do the rocking back and forth thing, so I know the crawling is coming so soon. I looked back at Grey's baby book and he crawled at 7 months and 10 days...well, Emme is 7 months and 5 days today...lets see if she ties with her brother. Oh the mayhem that is about to occur...

Easter bash 2011

On Saturday we went to the Aliso Viejo Easter bash. We immediately got in line to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap in the hopes to actually get a good picture. Oh, we were so proud. Grey didn't cry, Emme didn't cry and voila...a good picture with the Easter Bunny. As you can see from the kiddos cheeks it was ridiculously hot that day.

And here is a pic taken from far away and yes my children appear to be giants! How the heck did my kids get so long all of the sudden?

Emme and I participated in the Infant to 2 yr. old egg hunt and my goodness there were a lot of people. Emme knew just what to do...put the egg in her mouth!

We had a fun day at the park with The Shwams...it was hot, it was beautiful and yes, it was Emme's first time on a swing. And yes, it took me 7 months to put her on one. Crazy how with the second, the stay in the stroller such much more then the first. Well, she loved it!!! As usual, she just goes with the flow. I put her in it and did one push and below was her response...heaven.

Do you bring Easter baskets to Mommies and Daddies cause I have a wish list??? I really want this diaper bag from babies r us...its less then $60! Just not in my budget right now. How cute is it. And that center part opens to make it even bigger...LOVE! I would also like this:

Yes... I need a new highchair/booster seat cause my daughter broke the other one!!! (Its another good find from Babies r us.) Yep, she is mighty strong. I had taken her out of it, put her in her exersaucer next to the chair that the booster was sitting on and I guess the tray was just a little too close to her. She reached for it, got it and pulled down so hard she snapped the plastic pieces that attach the tray to the chair!!! Little stinker. It is kind of ok cause it wasn't the best chair. The tray wasn't a full size tray, which was fine when we used it for travel purposes for Grey, but this is our only highchair. I really, really, really don't want to bring the full size one up from the garage, cause our house just doesn't have room for it. sigh

And lastly... how great would it be to have this little beauty. It would have made doing the last few posts way easier!!! Instead, I have to run back and forth from my room to the family room where the kiddos are playing, just to get anything done on the computer. Oh well... a girl can dream.

Let the roadtrip begin... We left our house with the car loaded to the top on Thursday, March 24, 2011 bound for Santa Barbara cause my baby sister was getting married.

Greyson and Emerson are so cute together lately. She thinks he is soooo funny. I captured this cute moment the other day...you can tell Emme is smiling just by looking at her twinkling eyes. A few weeks ago we had 80 degree weather here so I had to take a trip to the pool. It was my first time with both kids and it went well. Emme is really loving being outside, just watching the world.

Greyson...well, you just can't stop him. I need to look into swim lessons asap so we can officially get rid of those floaties.

Knott's Berry Farm

On Thursday we went to Knott's Berry Farm with Auntie C, Maddy, Broday and the newlyweds, Auntie Lou and Uncle Casey. I hadn't been there in so long. It was so fun just to hang out in Camp Snoppy where the kids can go on all the rides and some of them, by themselves. Thank goodness the Wuestefelds joined us cause for those rides where they needed an adult with them we had enough, without them we would have been in trouble. Grey had sucha a fun time and Emerson got to go on her first ride.

Today was a great day for a duffy ride...blue skies and amazing company. My mom arranged a 90 minute duffy ride to celebrate a few things. Nana's 79th bday, Nana and Papa's 58th anniversary, and Papa's 78th bday. We had sushi, drinks, cookies and took cupcakes home for later. It was both Grey and Emme's first duffy rides, I will upload the pics from my camera later (this one is from my phone). Grey did an amazing job helping daddy drive the boat...and I'm not kidding, he is a very good first mate. Just another fun memory made with family.

Just some fun photos of the kids. Emme is really getting better at sitting unassisted. I try to practice with her often. I believe Grey was sitting at this age, but with the second kid you tend to either hold them more or put them in an exersaucer or swing. Ooopss sorry Em. We'll get there. I went shopping for her yesterday and grabbed some new clothes. Oh, I could have done it for hours. Here is one of her new outfits.

Greyson has all of a sudden shot up in heighth. He is growing out of everything. I will have to go shopping for him next. A pair of jeans that I was rolling about two inches up in December don't have to be rolled more then a 1/2" now. How did that happen? And all his shirts...ha, the long sleeve shirts look like 3/4 length. Poor guy! Put he had fun at the park yesterday, being the big boy he is.

Oh Sweet Potato

I'm making Emerson's baby food myself and I am having so much fun!!! It is so easy thanks to my Baby Brezza. This machine is genius. Why wouldn't everyone spend the money for this amazing piece of technology that literally steams and blends all by it self!
First up, the sweet potato. Root vegetables are said to be a great first food. I decided to skip rice cereal with Emme. The newest studies show that there is no real nutritional value unless mixed with formula or breast milk. It simply is a tool to teach a baby to swallow the texture...so why not start with something with taste, texture and nutrition. So there you go... First step, wash and peel the s.p. Then cut into chunks.

Simply put into the Baby Brezza and press the blend and steam button so that it steams for 25 minutes.

After the steaming is done the machine just blends immediately by itself.

And, presto, we've got baby food.

Greyson was so excited that Emme was going to eat something other then her bottle.

Oh today was soooo fun! I haven't been to the snow, in no joke, probably twenty years. We weren't a snow family. Yet, I have always had a dream of owning a cabin somewhere by a lake where during the summer we could boat and during the winter we could play in the snow. Anyway...one day =)
But for today we took a trip up to mountain high to play in the snow. We surprised Grey cause he had a sleep over last night at Geoff's parents place with his cousins, so when we picked him up we told him we had a surprise. As we were driving on the freeway towards home and the mountain finally came into view Geoff says to Grey..."do you want to know where we are going?" He then pointed to the mountain and told him to the snow. Greys response, " how do we get way up there?" Got to love the three year old mind. So we had a fairly easy drive, stopped off at Sports Chalet for a sled, some In n Out fries (yummy), potty break and up the mountain we went. Took a while to find a parking spot, but we did and then we started our adventure. Grey was a little weary of the snow, don't blame him. Its kind of interesting if you have never seen it before, it didn't help that mommy's boots were sinking into the snow, which kind of freaked him out. He got over it though. So we got him dressed in his new rainboots (they worked great), his pants over his jeans, big jacket, new gloves and beanie and he was all set. Sister got to sport her cute new outfit and boots too... sadly, mommy didn't really think about myself so well. I thought boots, check I have a pair....ok with no traction. It was like I was freaking ice skating with a baby on my chest. Not ok!!! Next time think of myself, then the kids, they are not good without there mommy safe. So, I unfortunately caused us a little drama just being a bit timid...fell once or twice. phew! But we made it to a great spot to sled.

Grey not so sure about his first experience, daddy putting his feet down to slow them down resulted in:

hysterically crying boy cause the ice shooting up from under daddy's feet (see above picture) landed straight in Grey's face. He wasn't ok with getting wet. Until we calmed him down and explained its ok to get wet and covered with snow that I have a change of clothes in the car. Thank goodness he was willing to try again.

Me and my buddy, who, by the way wasn't too sure of the cold. Everytime there was a breeze she would cry. She is such my little girl.

Luckily, Daddy and Grey found this perfect size hill for him and he absolutely fell in love with sledding. He had no fear. He would walk up the hill himself holding the sled, hop on and down he'd go.

Grey did such a great job and had so much fun. We got some cute video, but I missed the best moment of the day. Grey wanted to go down the big hill again, but this time by himself...crazy! So Geoff and him walked to the top, Geoff got him in position and then told him to hold on til he got down to the bottom of the hill (I'm about 50 feet away). So it's Greys turn, he pushes off, starts going down the hill, he is FLYING, he hits a bump...catches crazy air ( about 2 feet off the surface of the hill) thankfully had enough sense not to let go of the sled, landing back on the hill, on the sled and rides it out right past daddy!!! lets just say, I shreaked so loud I woke Emerson up, the people watching him closer to the hill all made a "woooo" sound in unison and then when he landed safely I started cheering for him...

His response to me at the top of his lungs: "Mommy was that awesome?"

Oh Greyson... I proceeded to give Geoff the knife across the throat sign meaning no more and they came back to the small hill.

It was such a fun day! Can't wait to do it again...next time with appropriate boots for mommy =)

Mr. Moysa and I had a date night!!! Yay for date night! I can't wait for the next one. We went to Fresh n Easy and loaded up on sushi, beer and my favorite; Poki. We headed to the Montage picnic area and set up on a bench all to ourselves. The weather again was perfect. It did get chilly once the sun went down, but that just allowed for some cuddle time. We enjoyed an amazing sunset and it was so nice. Something we need to do more often. No need to go to a nice restaurant, thats just not us.

A few weeks ago I took the kids down to my old stomping ground... I had posted one pic of that day of Grey already. Here are just a few mores. I love the sandy jeans, toes and hands on my boy. We are so spoiled to be able to enjoy 75 degree weather in February.

Greyson said he wanted to make sand angels...pretty funny. It made me laugh to think of all the kids who grow up in the snow, how they do snow angels all the time...not here, we do SAND angels. Hey, it works.

My big boy officially is the greatest pumper on the swings, I love that I don't have to push him anymore...Especially cause sissy needs me, so I don't feel bad that Grey isn't getting pushed.

I love this boy, even with all his energy, attitude and crankiness =) He has been the best big brother ever and has become the funniest little boy around. Hey Grey... "you crack me up!"

A Moysa family recipe

So I attempted a Moysa family recipe tonight...decided to do so after talking to my mother in law... Good ole mac n cheese! I did it a little different, not to go against the recipe, but because I didn't have the exact noodles it called for. I figured a noodle is a noodle...it would at least taste ok.

And it did...it was harder to make then I expected only because the recipe is written with no amounts. Geoff said "it's always been that way." So I think I'll expect the mac n cheese to get better each time I make it.

We did add our own little twist...fried onions on top!

This is Greysons first time making valentines for a class and he has been so excited for the process. So we just got out a bunch of craft supplies and we started decorating. We used glitter glue, jewels, cookie cutter hearts to trace and markers. They turned out pretty fantastic. He also signed his name on the back of each one. He can't wait for the party at school on tuesday.

Monster Jam

Daddy and Grey went to Monster Jam last night and had so much fun. Geoff has been talking about bringing Grey to it for at least a year and now that Grey is sooo into monster trucks, it was time for him to experience the Jam. We had written it down on the calendar so that Grey could see when he would be going...well, my goodness, he checked that calendar everyday. So when I was able to tell him yesterday morning that he finally got to go he was soooo excited. We tried to get him to take a nap cause we knew it was going to be a long night, but that didn't work. Instead he just fell asleep in the car on the way there. They both had a wonderful time. Despite the fact that we had Grey try on the ear plugs Geoff had gotten him numerous times, he elected not to wear them. He like having his fingers in his ears instead!

Alyssa had her first bridal shower last Saturday... Celina and I threw it...it was a scene of hot pink and plum. I did all the decorations and Celina did most of the planning. We had such a good time with all Alyssa's friends, and there are a lot of them. We had yummy tea sandwiches, plenty of champagne and lots of desserts. Gifts were given...a lot kitchen stuff mixed with a few special "things" for alyssa. It is all happening...the wedding is so close.

Emerson's health

So my sweet little lady has a urinary tract infection!!! So unfair. She came down with an unexplained fever last monday that then reoccured on Saturday, and again on Sunday...Monday I took her to the doctor where they put a catheter in her to retrieve a urine sample. It came back positive for a uti. So the next step is to have an ultrasound and an xray taken of her kidneys and bladder to determine if she has something calle VU reflux. So we went today to have another catheter put in her =( but the dummy Dr couldn't get it in, so I had a hysterical baby and nothing that came of it. We are now going to be sent to another facility where there is access to an icu nurse who is more familiar with performing procedures on infants. We are waiting a week or so, so that Emme had time to recover from her experience this morning. But bless my little girl....she is still smiling!!!

Christmas Eve and Emerson's first Christmas

Christmas Eve is a newer version to our old tradition. We have continued to make it a easy dinner and just lots of fun and chaos with the kids...just how family gatherings should be. So we headed over to the Shwams for chili bowls and salad, followed by some pretty strong peppermint martinis. After dinner we opened gifts, which the kids were super excited about. Greyson loved the idea of unwrapping gifts this year. Every day he asked if it was Christmas day yet. I was so happy to finally be able to tell him he could open gifts.

Once we got home we quickly made the plate for Santa and the Reindeer...Greyson made the best cup of chocolate milk for Santa. Then Greyson said a sad goodbye to his elf on the shelf Stuart...didn't realize he liked Stuart so much. We had to explain his job was done for this year, but he would be back next year. Then we read books and off to dreamland.

Then Santa went straight to work....

Christmas morning Greyson was barely awake when I went in to check on him and he sleepily said "can i open presents now?" I told him to go wake daddy and then it was time. Well, we should have made him wake up a bit more, cause his reaction to his gifts wasn't quite what we expected. He was dazed, and confused, slightly grumpy and just quietly starred at the toys. When he looked at his bike his reaction was " not that one!!!" Yeah, wasn't quite what I was hoping for. But he came around, woke up a bit and started to play with his Criss Cross Crash...which he had been asking for forever...then he finally looked at his bike again and said "oh, what a cool bike!" Weirdo!!!

Then pretty girl finally woke up and got to experience her first Christmas morning. Brother helped open all her gifts and she just watched.

We keep practicing on his bike. He is getting better each time, he's a little timid.
I am shocked on how timid he is, I thought he would be crazy speed racer like he is on his wiggle car, but the heighth thing is making him very nervous. Can't wait til he picks up the pace so that we can take a descent walk together.

Be prepared... there are a lot of pictures to follow. This was our trip to Hawaii...Emerson's first plane ride and my first plane ride alone with two kids!!!! But we made it our alive! We had so much fun. Emme was super easy and Greyson was a good listener. We played with Poppa and Grammy at their house, Greyson adored the neighborhood girls. He still refers to them as "those girls." We saw a lot of the island, had a few family beach days, got to hang out with daddy's team, and mommy and daddy even had a few date nights.

Thanksgiving 2010

I can't believe we have already had Thanksgiving...where is the time going? Emerson is already 2 1/2 months old, she's had her first shots and she is already 11 lbs!!! I'm shocked at how fast the time is going...way faster then it did when Grey was a baby, probably because Emme is such an easy baby. As I type this she is asleep in the middle of my bed, where she fell asleep over an hour ago all by herself. No rocking or paci needed. That was unheared of with Grey. With that being said, I am so thankful for her and her demeanor. I am thankful for what a great big brother Greyson has been to her. I am thankful for how hard my husband is working so that I can stay home with the kids...that is priceless to me. No matter the struggles, I am thankful most for that. We are happy and healthy, life is good.

For Thanksgiving we gathered with family at the Aliso Viejo Country Club and had our usually fun, chaos. We were so lucky to be given a private room so the kids could just run around and be nuts! There were moments of weakness on my part, but we got through the bloody mary being spilled on me cause of my excited son... =) I only took a few pics cause of the busyness...

We have obviously been spending a lot of time at home lately...I am really trying to get the breastfeeding thing down, which isn't going great so I'd rather be in my home setting. Emme is doing great either way, definitely getting bigger and sleeping good during the night. She's only up once, which is amazing and I'm so thankful for because I get no rest during the day. Greyson has completely given up on naps which is ok cause it makes for an early bed time, which I like. I realized yesterday that Emme hasn't had much tummy time so we have grabbed the rainforest mat and started that. She isn't a fan... we'll keep working on it. Grey has been a trooper with being cooped up in the house. We have gotten creative with the things we can do with a 1000 sq. ft condo... Fort the size of half our living room, race track that almost reaches the width of our house.... its been fun and super messy, but its keep me sane and Grey entertained. The one having the real issue is the dog...see pic below, you think he is jealous??? =)

Its pretty fun that Emerson was born just before this holiday season starts. I love all the holidays and what more fun then to see Greyson experience them as a big brother and see Emerson experience them for the first time!?!
So Geoff and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch a few days after I took them by myself...those pictures are the ones below where Grey is in an orange shirt. We brought daddy along this time because Grey really wanted to go on the big slide, well that was a fiasco. Any way...we had fun and Grey loved the swings.

Below are a few photos from life at home the last 4 weeks... Emerson is an angel. Now that we have discovered she has a dairy allergy and I have eliminated it all from my diet...she is great. We are still working on getting her thicker. Greyson is doing amazing with her. Each day he does another sweet thing for his sister. All my anxiety about bringing Emme home was a waste of energy. I love these two little ones to pieces....

She came with some help (the vacuum) but after pushing 45 minutes a sunny side up baby, my doctor turned her and then stated her heart rate was low, and it was time to get her out. I was beginning to think she wouldn't come out vaginally...I'm so glad the vacuum worked. Pictures will be up soon!!!

I had another doctors apt yesterday so here is the update: I still didn't gain any weight which is super annoying! All last week and labor day weekend, all I did was eat! For some reason my body just isn't hanging on to any weight. My doctor said at this point no need to stress. I'm so close to the induction...only a week now, that as long as I'm at least maintaining, we are ok. Emerson looked good on the monitor again, so that was good. I'm still dialated to about a 3, but am now over 50% effaced. So, again, things are happening, but I'm still prego. I was telling a good friend of mine tonight, its not that I'm "over it" in the sense that I'm totally uncomfortable etc. Cause I'm really not. I'm sleeping pretty good still, don't have any back pain, and cause she's tiny, my belly isn't that big...what I'm "over" is just the waiting. Mentally I'm ready to be a mom of two...I know its going to be hard, I'm going to be exhausted, I'm going to be pulled into a hundred directions etc. But I'm ready for it and with the delay its just causing anxiety. So with that being said...I'm going to try to be patient, enjoy this time cause its the last time I'll be pregnant and just hope that she is a healthy little peanut!

Oh geez to be at the end of a pregnancy...I am kind of, officially over it! I had an eventful apt last Monday when we saw the baby doctor. I knew I was going to be able to see Emme on the ultrasound and hopefully was going to get checked if I was dialated. What it turned into was Emme is only in the low 5 lbs, I hadn't gained any weight in the last two weeks, and I was already dialated 3 cm! It was a whirlwind apt. The doc had me sit for a non-stress test to watch Emme to make sure she is tolerating the inside ok...which she is! So he said my "homework" was to rest and eat a lot. Well, some of that is easier said then done. So my, what normally is a 20 minute apt, turned into an hour and 40! I see the doc again on Wed for another non-stress test and hopefully to be checked again. Either way I have an induction date set for Sept 17th, if Emme stays in til then. Its all so crazy, just cause my pregnancy has been so mellow....so to hear all that was crazy! I decided on Thursday as I was heading to work that it was going to be my last day...so I called my boss and broke the news. Thankfully she was so ok with it! It was a weird feeling walking out of a baby store I have worked at for 13 years!!! It felt good though and I know I was doing what was right for myself and my baby girl. I am now just hanging out, waiting for this little girl. I can't wait to meet her, I can't wait not to be prego...I am excited!!!

Sea World with Mom

A couple Friday's ago we went to Sea World with Gamma. It was so fun. Gamma hasn't really attended many of the amusement parks with us, but now that she's retired she has time and it was so nice to have her there. The only issue is when you get Gamma around all three grandkids want to sit on her lap... this makes for a very hot Gamma and/or three cranky kids. Hopefully Emme is ok sitting on my lap =)

Wow I have been majorly slacking on this blog lately. Time just gets away from me. I am officially on count down with this pregnancy...I have 6 weeks to go if little Miss Emerson stays in that long. I am realizing I should probably start getting stuff together sooner rather then later. If there is one thing I have learned with managing a baby store, its you can never be too prepared. Babies have their own plans. So I need to find the carseat and all its parts. Get the cute cover I am registered for ( cause thats sooo important haha), put together the moses basket stand, get some newborn diapers and then I will feel better. A way to bring her home, a place to sleep and clean diapers... thats all I need to start... oh ya, and the boob! It is just so funny how different it is with the second one. I've been so calm about the whole process. But, now, I'm officially over it. I have hit that '6 weeks left' wall. Bammm, right in my face! The everyday things aren't as easy anymore. Bending over is getting to be very uncomfortable... there is definitely things on the ground right now that I would normally pick up. The other day I had to ask Geoff to tie my shoes before my walk, his response "oh, we're there." YES, WE ARE THERE!!! I'm getting super excited and anxious to see this little girl. Any bets on if we get a red head or not?

It's crazy to me, but I only have, at max, 9 weeks to go with this pregnancy. How did that happen? I kind of realized a few weeks ago it was coming quick and I should probably start working on Emme's side of the room. So this is what is done so far.
